A couple of days in London.

Me and my boyfriend took a trip to London at the beginning of the month. I was hoping to get away during the easter break but we steered away from going abroad, partly because of money.

Instead we opted for London. We have been together before but for just a day and I always feel like I have to cram everything into that day with so much to see and shop! So to make this time more special we stayed over in a Hotel.

We did lots when we were there, lots of shopping and we visited the natural history museum.
On Sunday morning after our stay in the hotel we had breakfast in Covent Garden, a lovely little treat.

We booked it pretty last minute and luckily the hotel was lovely! The Nadler Hotel It was in the Kensington area and even my boyfriend pointed out how lovely and quiet it was, considering we were still pretty central London.

February wish list

Amogst many other wishes I have at the moment such as going on holiday my other wish is to have a shopping spree. Only this requires money, something I am lacking of, because of a big pay out on my car. Oh well we can dream. So in between trying to do my uni dissertation I have been dreaming of buying nice things and going abroad. As soon as my dissertation is due in I WILL go shopping and hopefully get a weekend away with the boyfriend.

Christmas Haul

This christmas I was very spoilt. My parents treated me to some new make up, my new favourite, Estee Lauder Double wear foundation and finishing powder. They also bought be a new perfume, Pure White Linen Pink Coral by Estee Lauder, which is a lovely scent that really suits me as I don't like strong perfume, its really floral and girly.

My mum and dad also got me my favourite moisturiser from St Tropez. It's perfect for me as it gives me a gradual tan on my face- I'm so pale so this is a life saver. It can be quite greasy but at this time of the year my skin is usually quite dry. I'll usually mix between using this moisturiser and my body shop moisturiser.

My boyfriend bought me Touche Eclat! I've wanted this concealer for ever but never got round to buying it. It's a great concealer for my under eye circles. It literally brightens up my under eye- which I suffer with pretty badly.

Well what can a say about Double Wear, I love it! Again something I hadn't owned before. Its lierally the best cover up on the high street. It lasts forever and it covers so well. It is pretty thick in consistency and it does dry quickly so you have to be careful when applying it. Once it dries that's literally it. You can't add layers to it otherwise it will build up and look 'too much.' A good make-up brush and moisturised skin will do the job though! I'm considering buying a good primer as this will help the application of this foundation. The finishing powder is great on days where I feel like I need to wear more make-up, especially in the evening or on a night out. Otherwise the foundation is plently on my skin.

Because double wear is such a thick foundation I try not to put it on everyday- plus its expensive. But I can see myself having to buy this quite regally and to be honest i won't mind. I usually buy low-end price foundations like Lo'real true match, but i noticed this really didn't last long enough and it started looking greasy on my skin.

I love these hilarious lip balms 'Lip Shit' a present from my boyfriend, he's a funny thing.

They're really tastes and the Asian Pear reminds me of tiger balm. I think both of the these balms include beez wax which I love in a lip balm. Previously I've had Bert Bee's lip balm which was great!

21st Birthday Celebrations- Madrid

This post is long overdue! To be honest I partly gave up on this blog and just continued with my journalism one. But since seeing a friends blog it inspired me to continue with this. And what a better way with catching up with how I spent my 21st birthday.

It was full of surprises. My boyfriend Max took me to Madrid! A complete surprise as I found out the night before we left at my birthday meal with my family.

He also organised a surprise gathering with all my friends in a bar. I had no idea! I really wasn't keen to make many plans for my 21st so i'm so glad I got to see all my friends.

Madrid was a beautiful city, its not the biggest so it's not too overwhelming but the architecture and the beautiful blue skies in october where a big treat considering it had just got chilly at home. Definitely recommend this city to anyone looking for a nice weekend break! There were plenty of shops, food and sun! Plus if you do go you cannot miss the main park, it wasn't too difficult to find and if we hadn't of found it we would of really missed out.
Park in Madrid was beautiful, so glad we found it!

Airport arrivals

Inside H&M Madrid.
The shopping here was brilliant I just wish I took more money to spend.

The park lake

The cutest little boat ride in the lake. Max had to steer.

Drinks at Chambers, pre my arrival

Surprise!

Spring Wishes

Spring Wishes

So Spring is finally on our doorstep after a stubborn British winter. I recently bagged myself a job at h&m. Ive never worked in retail before so i'm excited to work with all the beautiful clothes. Trouble is i'll probably be spending most of my wages in there.

Anyway i'm ever so excited for summer to arrive. But for now the brighter days will do just fine. Its about time to splash some colour in my wardrobe especially some yellow!
